Game 99: Tigers (56-42) at Angels (60-40), 10:05 PM

The Tigers start a four game set in Anaheim tonight and here are your lineups…

2. Ian Kinsler (2B)
3. Miguel Cabrera (1B)
4. Victor Martinez (DH)
5. Torii Hunter (RF)
6. Nick Castellanos (3B)
7. Alex Avila (C)
8. Eugenio Suarez (SS)
9. Rajai Davis (LF)

SP: Garrett Richards

1. Kole Calhoun (RF)
2. Mike Trout (CF)
3. Albert Pujols (1B)
4. Josh Hamilton (LF)
5. Erick Aybar (SS)
6. Howie Kendrick (2B)
7. David Freese (3B)
8. C.J. Cron (DH)
9. Hank Conger (C)

J.D. Martinez was in the original lineup but was scratched as a precaution – his quad’s still tight – but he is available to pinch hit.

From the game notes:

The Tigers are in for a tough one this weekend, as Anaheim is one of those places they never seem to win much (the Angels are 19-8 in their last 26 at home against Detroit, and 40-15 there since 2001). To make matters worse, Garrett Richards has made two career starts against the Tigers totaling 14 innings and he didn’t allow a run. Richards has allowed just nine earned runs in his last 64.2 innings pitched, and he probably should’ve made the All Star team. Detroit’s hitters are in for a difficult matchup. Of course, Max Scherzer is no slouch either so one would expect a pitcher’s duel here.
