Cabrera and the Martini power the Tigers to 8-6 win

The Tigers struck quickly out of the gate as Rajai Davis led off the game with a triple and was knocked in by a Miguel Cabrera sac fly. Then came a doubles parade. The Tigers ended up leading 3-0 before the Rangers even got to bat Then, to start the 5th and only up by two, the Martini struck. Both Victor Martinez and J.D. Martinez went deep (on consecutive pitches) to put the Tigers back up by 4. They added an insurance run in the 8th as the Rangers kept pecking away.

Anibal Sanchez was sharp through three innings, but the wheels came off in the 4th thanks to awful defense and some less than crisp pitching. The comedy of errors would plague the Tigers on defense the rest of the way and almost cost them the game. Thankfully, Carlos Pena swung at 3 balls to help Joe Nathan close the door on the Rangers.
