ALCS Game 5: Red Sox (2-2) @ Tigers (2-2)

Rain rain, go away.

Rain rain, go away.

The Tigers send Anibal Sánchez back to the mound while the Red Sox send out Jon Lester in a rematch of the game 1 starters. The Tigers took game 1, but Sánchez was as wild as he was unhittable, walking 6 in 6 hitless innings (to go with 12 strikeouts). Lester was also good, allowing 1 run on 6 hits and 1 walk in 6.1 IP, while striking out 4.

The Tigers will go with mostly the same lineup they used last night, with a minor tweak at the bottom of the order, while the Red Sox make a few changes.

Fielder has had a grand total of three PAs with runners in scoring position. THREE. Some of the blame belongs with the players in front of him including—GASP—Cabrera.
