Game 115: Togers (68-46) @ Yabkees (58-56)

The great one was stunned last night. Alas.

The great one was stunned last night. Alas.

The Tigers look to bounce back from their extra innings defeat last night in the Bronx. The Yankees, who frittered away a 3-0 lead, walked it off against Al Alburquerque in the bottom of the tenth.

The Tigers look to Anibal Sánchez (9-7, 2.58 ERA, 2.37 FIP) to get a new winning streak started against Phil Hughes (4-10, 4.87 ERA, 4.67 FIP, 5.27 tERA).

It’s important to note that the Tigers managed to burn through their bullpen pretty good last night, leaving only Joaquín Benoit as the last man standing between the Tigers and a possible Don Kelly return to the mound if the game had happened to go, say, 16, 17, 18 innings.
