A Really Funny Comparison Between Omar Infante and Every Other Tiger at Second Base in 2012

Just a wee comparison here:

Tigers 2B          .
364 29 64 16 1 2 25 0 32
Year 2012 SO BA OBP SLG OPS OPS+ TB GDP HBP

It would have been nice if you included Brandon Inge’s stats in that comparison. It is too bad I wasn’t the GM of the Tigers. Had I been, I would have plugged Inge into second base in April, and told him he was starting every game…. I don’t care if you go 0/100… I am not taking you out. You are our starting 2b for the entire year. With that weight off of his shoulders, he could have done for the Tigers what he is doing for Oakland right now. Inge has almost as many RBI’s as Infante AND the “other Tigers” listed in your comparison.

Had that happened, we would still also have Jacob Smoltz, I MEAN Jacob Turner, in our farm system. We might have still made the trade for Sanchez, but it would have been the same two players traded to Miami WITHOUT Turner included.

Dombrowski needs to learn to check with me before he does ANYTHING…..
