With the 91st pick the Tigers took a Texas High School player, with the 121st pick the Tigers took a Texas high School player.
Call me biased, or not, but I love me some Texas baseball players, and Austin Schotts is a position player, which I like even more. He is committed to Oklahoma State, so we’ll see if the Tigers can sign him with the alloted budget they have to work with.
Mark Anderson of TigsTowns says he is a plus-plus runner that will have to learn center field (he played shortstop in high school as most stars do). He has a questionable arm but a solid bat that should project to that of a decent contact hitter.
I’m all for speed, something the big league softball team lacks, so I give a thumbs up here.
