Dating back to May 8, there’s a pattern the Tigers have been following as it pertains to winning and losing (WLWLL-WLWLL-WLWL?). If that is to continue on Wednesday night, they will lose. Let’s hope it does not.
Lineups after the jump…
Tigers - (D. Fister – R)
Indians - (Z. McAllister – R)
Walkoff Notes:
- Quintin Berry makes his MLB debut. In the minors, he got on base at a .358 clip and stole about 40 bags a season. Supposedly, he’s Nook Logan fast, and I once saw Nook Logan circle the bases on a ground ball to third base (after two errors). That could be exciting and the proverbial shot in the arm. Don’t get your hopes up, though. But if you want to personalize a shersey now, he will wear No. 52.
- Speaking of leadoff hitters, I mentioned in the recap that Shin-Soo Choo is on a 9-game hitting streak. Since moving to the Indians’ leadoff spot, he’s hitting a cool .394/.487/1.093 in 39 plate appearances. Sure enough, he will be leading off for the Indians again.
