With Delmon Young facing a suspension from the MLB, left field will continue to be a mash-up of Dirks, Kelly, and Ryan Raburn for the near future.

Royals starter Luke Hochevar has had a pretty good season thus far, aside from one rough inning against the Cleveland Indians.

Date Opp IP H R ER BB SO ERA
Apr 7 LAA 6.1 5 2 2 2 4 2.84
Apr 13 CLE 4.0 9 7 7 1 3 7.84
Apr 20 TOR 5.0 2 1 1 2 5 5.87
Apr 25 CLE 6.1 4 2 2 3 4 4.98
21.2 20 12 12 8 16 4.98

All seven of those earned runs against the Indians came in the first inning, and he probably would have made it through 5+ innings in that start had he not left the game after getting hit in the left ankle with a line drive. His ankle still isn’t 100%, so we’ll see how many pitches he throws this evening.
